Valery Gerasimov: The West seeks to create new hotspots in South Caucasus, elsewhere
RussiaEvery year, about 40 large military exercises are held near the western borders of Russia, the scenarios of which are based on an armed confrontation with our country, and non-NATO countries are increasingly engaged in them. This was stated by Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, informs the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
"At the same time, the West seeks to create new hotspots and support conflicts in the Balkans, Transnistria and Transcaucasia [i.e. South Caucasus], Central Asia, and Afghanistan," added Gerasimov.
