Armenia economy minister: Economic, security risks arising from geopolitical reality is among challenges in 2024
WorldEconomic and security risks arising from geopolitical reality, non-implementation of investment plans, slow decision-making, logistics infrastructure, underperformance of capital expenditures planned by the state budget, risks of the mining sector, outflow of IT specialists, risk of emigration of the forcibly displaced Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, and micro-management are among the challenges of Armenia in 2024. Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan announced this during the year-end extended meeting of the Board of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia held on December 23.
Among the major projects under development in the country, the minister pointed to the “dry port,” the introduction of artificial intelligence in the economy, green hydrogen and energy transformation, as well as the deepening of value chains in the economy.
Also, the minister of economy of Armenia called on the businessmen to study the details and take an active part in the programs aimed at the development of the country’s economy.
In addition, Kerobyan answered many questions of those in attendance.
