Limits of forced punishment
AnalyticalMay 28 marks the Day of the First Armenian Republic, all are in a hurry to Sardarapat, starting from MPs and ending with the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. Meanwhile, it turns out that Serzh Sargsyan will not attend the summit of heads of state in Bishkek.
Of course, comments about this phenomenon may be true when we consider those tense relationships between Armenia and Russia, which resulted in a number of distorted realities of today to the detriment of the Republic of Armenia.
Let's start with the statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that the Karabakh issue, the status quo is certainly not acceptable. This statement was made ambiguously, not only by the Foreign Minister of Armenia, but also by Serzh Sargsyan. In reality, however, the peak of Lavrov- Mammadyarov meeting was the wording that the status quo not only means unresolved issue of the return of Azerbaijani territories, but also the economic blockade of Armenia. While some attribute this to a number of diplomatic nuances, all the same, this is the way h Rowussia is punishing Armenia for its commitment to the European Union.
In this case Armenia can not be envied: on the one hand presses the strategic partner, on the other hand threatens to migration and, finally, robbing the country. Against this background is, what Lavrov can imagine Russia's official position on the status quo of Karabakh, is just a drop in the ocean.
Let us remember that in 2015, all foreigners, except for citizens of member countries of the Customs Union were be able to visit Russia only with passports, and due to the situation Republic of Armenia today departs from this path, leaving, of course, the return of the road, in the person of the same agreement, mentioned by Serzh Sargsyan during the meeting with reporters. That is, it turns out that as far as the distance increases between RA and Customs Union, the tougher sanctions are taken by Russia, which further aggravate already difficult situation in Armenia.
Armenia gets blow after blow, and now the increase in gas tariff ... The intentions of Kremlin to the entrance of Armenia to the Customs Union are serious enough above the level of a strategic partner, and purely friendly level, leaving open only the door of their own interests.
And that Serzh Sargsyan did not participate in the summit of CIS heads of state, is a vivid manifestation of this situation, and the fact that today saboteur Sergey Kurginyan has congratulated Armenia, finally puts everything in its place.
