Azerbaijan expresses readiness to hold trilateral meeting in Sochi
PoliticalThe Official Baku has expressed readiness to hold a trilateral meeting for the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The Deputy Head of Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration Novruz Mammadov stated that the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will hold a trilateral meeting with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on August 10 in Sochi. As reports “Armenpress”, the Deputy Head of Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration Novruz Mammadov made a note on this on Twitter. Among other things, Mammadov stated that a bilateral meeting will be held between the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on August 9.
On August 8, President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan paid a working visit to the Russian Federation, Sochi. On August 9, the President of the Republic of Armenia will meet with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. As part of the visit, the Armenian side has expressed readiness to hold a trilateral meeting with the Presidents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan to discuss issues related to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as the situation resulting from the recent escalation fomented by Azerbaijan. Convinced that there is no alternative to a negotiated settlement, the Armenian side has always been in favor of high-level meetings.
