Karabakh conflict regulation talks conducted over Kazan document
PoliticalThe negotiations on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict regulation are conducted over the Kazan document, which is based upon the Madrid Principles and highlights maintaining all the three main principles of the conflict regulation. As reports “Armenpress”, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan stated this in an interview to “Armnews” TV company. Also, the President noted that after the lengthy break, the negotiations on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict do not begin from the zero point and staying back or running ahead of the negotiations are relative concepts.
Among other things, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan underscored: “We do not start anything from zero and staying back or running ahead are relative concepts. We conduct the negotiations over the Kazan document and that is the document the Azerbaijani president refused to sign in the last moment in 2011. The Kazan document is based upon the Madrid Principles and stipulates the regulation of the conflict based on the three main principles – refraining from threat or use of force, territorial integrity, and self-determination of peoples.”
