Russia’s Noskov takes bronze in men’s 50 km walk at 2014 European Athletics
SportRussia’s Ivan Noskov brought his country bronze medal on Friday after finishing in the third place in men’s 50 km Walk event at the 2014 European Athletics Championships in Switzerland’s Zurich.
Noskov completed the distance in 3 hours 37 minutes and 41 seconds behind Yohann Diniz of France and Slovakia’s Matej Toth, who won gold and silver respectively.
French Diniz grabbed the gold by setting a new world record of 3 hours 32 minutes and 33 seconds.
Another Russia’s walker Mikhail Ryzhov finished the distance in the fourth place with less than two minutes behind Noskov.
Noskov’s bronze is the eighth medal for the Russian team at the 2014 European Athletics Championships held in Zurich between August 12 and 17. In the first three days of the tournament Russia already collected three gold, one silver and three bronze medals.
