2.1 magnitude earthquake was registered in Armenia
ArmeniaOn October 7, at about 23:23, 2.1 magnitude earthquake was registered in Gegharqunik Province, which a number of Gavar communities felt. During the interview with “Armenpress”, a group of dwellers from Lanjaghbyur and Gegharqunik mentioned that the earthquake was expressed by noise and shakes. “I woke up because of the shakes of my bed and immediately noticed that the cupboard is already shaking. I immediately got out of the room. But after some seconds everything became quiet. I was scared to sleep for several hours waiting for another shakes. Fortunately, nothing happened”, Aghavni Buniatyan, a dweller from Sarukhan village, told about this.
The center for crisis management of Gegharqunik Province confirmed that the earthquake epicenter was located 19 kilometers south of the city of Gavar, very close to the villages Gegharqunik, Sarukhan and Lanjaghbyur. There was no destructions or casualties. The underground shock in the epicenter was 23 points.
