National Assembly continues to discuss Ombudsman's annual report
PoliticalRegular Parliamentary 4-day’s second session launched in the National Assembly. As “Armenpress” reports, 110 MPs were recorded. At the start of the meeting the previous day’s discussed questions were put to the vote, but votes are not expected in the session of October 27, as only one issue was discussed: Armenian Ombudsman’s 2014 report.
The discussion of the issue was left unfinished in the session of October 26 and will be continued on October 27. The discussion of the issue was interrupted in the final speech’s stage. Armenian Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan, the main reporter, will refer to PM’s anxieties during their speeches and will respond to their questions.
It is expected that after the report of the Ombudsman the Parliament will discuss the legal initiative on making changes and additions in Armenian electoral code and in “About identification cards” Armenian law. It is suggested to define for Armenian citizens to have an opportunity to participate in voting also with identification cards. The authors of the legal initiative are RPA faction PMs Artak Davtyan, Minasyan Gagik ,Sahakyan Hovhannes.
