Assistant coach Raymond Verheijen will work with Armenia’s national till the end of qualification tournament for 2014 World Cup.
“The contract has been signed. We must seriously prepare for the qualifiers. It will be difficult for our coach to work alone. Verheijen will considerably help our team. He will join the coach staff for a friendly against Greece,” head of Armenia’s Football Federation Ruben Hayrapetyan told journalists on Friday.
The Dutch coach will also work with Banants FC which is launching a football academy. Groups for children under 12, 13, 14 and 15 will function starting from June 1. Children will train under the direction of Raymond Verheijen and his assistant Raymond Ativildi.
The 40-year-old Dutch specialist has worked as a member of coaching staff of the national teams of South Korea, the Netherlands, Australia and Russia together with Guus Hiddink and Dick Advocaat.
