Minsk Group co-chairs arrive in Azerabijan.
AzerbaijanFollowing their visit to Armenia, the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassadors Robert Bradtke (US), Jacque Faure (France) and Igor Popov (Russia) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk are now in Azerbaijan.
According to APA News Agency, the US co-chair said, upon arrival at the Baku airport, that their delegation had meetings with President Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan in Yerevan.
Bradtke promised that the group will issue a joint statement at the end of the regional tour.
“The purpose of the trip is to follow up the discussions we had with two foreign ministers we met before Mammadyarov in London and Nalbaldyan in Warsaw. We are discussing how to implement the elements of the joint statement the three presidents made in Sochi,” the diplomat was quoted as saying.
Commenting on the recent tension on the Contact Line between Nagorno-Karbakh and Azerbaijan, the US co-chair said they are concerned over the situation on the frontline.
