US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton to visit Armenia.
ArmeniaUS Secretary of State Hilary Clinton will arrive in Armenia. She will visit Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey between May 31 and June 7, the US Department of State Spokesperson Victoria Nuland informed.
The Secretary will travel to the Caucasus from June 4 to 7. In all these countries, she will discuss important issues of regional security, democracy, economic development and counterterrorism.
Clinton will be in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan on June 4. She will meet with President Serzh Sargsyan, other state officials, and NGO representatives.
Armenia is the first Caucasus country the US Secretary of State will be visiting during her tour. Afterward, she will head to Georgia, Azerbaijan, and, finally, to Turkey.
