Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը հայտարարել է, որ Անկարան, Մոսկվան եւ Թեհրանը պլանավորում են զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբների պետերի եռակողմ հանդիպում անցկացնել Սիրիայի իրադրության շուրջ: Թուրքիայի նախագահի խոսքը նոյեմբերի 17-ին մեջբերել է Yeni Safak թերթը:

«Նոյեմբերի 22-ին մենք Սոչիում կհանդիպենք ՌԴ-ի եւ Իրանի նախագահներ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի եւ Հասան Ռոուհանիի հետ: Մեր երկրները ցանկանում են շարունակել Աստանայի գործընթացը սիրիական կարգավորման շուրջ: Դրանից մեկ օր առաջ կհանդիպեն մեր արտաքին գործերի նախարարները՝ նախապատրաստելու ղեկավարների գագաթնաժողովը, նույն օրը նրանք կքննարկեն գլխավոր շտաբների պետերի հանդիպման հարցը»,-ասել է Էրդողանը: Նա հավելել է, որ Սոչիում «հնարավորություն կլինի քննարկել Սիրիայի վերջին իրադարձությունները, նախեւառաջ Իդլիբի եւ Աֆրինի իրադրությունը»:

Թուրքիայի ղեկավարը նշել է, որ իր երկիրը «ճկունություն է հանդես բերում Իդլիբում Ռուսաստանի եւ Իրանի կողմից դիտորդական կետերի ստեղծման հարցում», բայց «առանց պոզիտիվի է նայում Աֆրինում նման կետեր ստեղծելու Իրանի հնարավոր ցանկությանը»:

Անդրադառնալով Աստանայի կամ Ժնեւի բանակցություններին «Դեմոկրատական միություն» կուսակցությունից սիրիացի քրդերի ներկայացուցիչների հնարավոր մասնակցությանը՝ Էրդողանը հայտարարել է, որ «այդ դեպքում Թուրքիան բանակցությունների սեղանի շուրջ չի նստի»: «Մենք բոլորի համար հստակ պարզաբանել ենք մեր դիրքորոշումը «Դեմոկրատական միության» նկատմամբ: Նման ահաբեկչական կազմակերպություններն օրինականացնելը անթույլատրելի է, եւ մենք նրանց հետ բանակցությունների սեղանի շուրջ չենք նստի: Դա վերաբերում է ե՛ւ Աստանային, ե՛ւ Ժնեւին»,-ասել է նա:

ՌԴ նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը նոյեմբերի 16-ին լրագրողներին հայտնել է, որ Ռուսաստանի, Թուրքիայի եւ Իրանի նախագահները նոյեմբերի 22-ին կհանդիպեն Սոչիում՝ քննարկելու Սիրիայի իրադրության կարգավորման խնդիրները, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
