Սեպտեմբերի 6-ին ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանը հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել Միացյալ Թագավորության (ՄԹ) Խորհրդարանական փոխպետքարտուղար, Եվրոպական հարևանության և Ամերիկայի հարցերով նախարար Ուենդի Մորթնի հետ։ 

Ընդունելով գործընկերոջ շնորհավորանքներն ԱԳ նախարարի պաշտոնը ստանձնելու կապակցությամբ` Արարատ Միրզոյանը հայտնել է հայկական կողմի պատրաստակամությունը համատեղ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող ոլորտներում ՄԹ հետ համագործակցությունը զարգացնելու վերաբերյալ: 

Զրուցակիցները քննարկել են տարածաշրջանային անվտանգությանը և կայունությանը վերաբերող հարցերի լայն շրջանակ։ Նախարար Միրզոյանն ընդգծել է, որ տարածաշրջանում տևական և կայուն խաղաղության կարելի է հասնել ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահության հովանու ներքո Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության՝ հայտնի սկզբունքների և տարրերի հիման վրա համապարփակ լուծման միջոցով: Ուենդի Մորթոնն իր հերթին նշել է, որ Միացյալ Թագավորությունն աջակցում է ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահության ջանքերին:

ԱԳ նախարարը շեշտել է Ադրբեջանում պահվող հայ ռազմագերիների և քաղաքացիական անձանց շուտափույթ հայրենադարձման անհրաժեշտությունը։

Արարատ Միրզոյանն իր գործընկերոջն է նաև ներկայացրել Ադրբեջանի սադրիչ գործողությունների, մասնավորապես՝  Հայաստանի ինքնիշխան տարածք ադրբեջանական ԶՈՒ ստորաբաժանումների ներթափանցման արդյունքում ստեղծված իրավիճակը:  Նա շեշտել է, որ Ադրբեջանի նման գործելաոճը խաթարում է տարածաշրջանային անվտանգությանն ու կայունությանն ուղղված ջանքերը:

Կլիմայի փոփոխության դեմ պետությունների ջանքերի համադրման համատեքստում զրուցակիցները կարևորել են այս տարվա նոյեմբերին Միացյալ Թագավորության Գլազգո քաղաքում անցկացվելիք ՄԱԿ-ի Կլիմայի փոփոխության մասին շրջանակային կոնվենցիայի 26-րդ գագաթաժողովի (COP26) արդյունավետ անցկացումը և դրան հայկական կողմի մասնակցությունը:
