Հիշեցնենք, որ Իսլամական հեղափոխության պահապանների կորպուսը վերահսկում է իրանական տնտեսության գրեթե բոլոր ոլորտները, ուստի այն որպես ահաբեկչական կազմակերպություն ճանաչելը, հարակից սահմանափակումների ներդրմամբ, Իրանի համար բավականին ցավոտ կլինի տնտեսական առումով։ Բայց այստեղ միայն տնտեսությունը չէ: Օրինակ, ԱՄՆ-ը, որը ճանաչել է Իսլամական հեղափոխության պահապանների կորպուսը որպես ահաբեկչական կազմակերպություն, իրեն իրավունք է վերապահում ռազմական ուժ կիրառել նրա դեմ։ Իսկ դա զգալիորեն զսպում է ԻՀՊԿ-ին՝ տարածաշրջանում ակտիվ ռազմական գործողություններ կատարելուց: Եթե ​​Իսլամական հեղափոխության պահապանների կորպուսը տեսականորեն դադարում է լինել ահաբեկչական խմբավորում ԱՄՆ-ի համար, ապա ռազմական հարձակումը նրա վրա, որպես իրանական բանակի մաս, իրավաբանորեն դասակարգվում է որպես հարձակում Իրանի և նրա զինված ուժերի վրա:
