Հայաստանի մարդու իրավունքների նախկին պաշտպան Քրիստիննե Գրիգորյանը նշանակվել է Հայաստանի արտաքին հետախուզության ծառայության պետ։ Հայաստանի վարչապետի մամուլի քարտուղար Նազելի Բաղդասարյանը, մանրամասնելով ծառայության գործառույթները, նշել է, որ «ծառայության հիմնական խնդիրը պետությանն ու հասարակությանը սպառնացող արտաքին վտանգների և հնարավորությունների կանխատեսումն է, և քաղաքական որոշումներ կայացնողներին այդ մասին վստահելի, արժանահավատ և կիրարկելի հետախուզական տեղեկությունների տրամադրումը, որոնք կունենան կիրառական նշանակություն՝ հնարավոր վտանգները կառավարելու, կանխարգելելու և առկա մարտահրավերներին դիմակայելու տեսակետից»:

Հարց է առաջանում, թե ինչու է այդպես շտապում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, երբ տվյալ կառույցը ձևավորելու համար դեռևս օրենքով սահմանված երեք տարի ժամկետ ուներ: Ուշագրավ է, որ Փաշինյանը նման որոշում է կայացնում այն պայմաններում և այն օրերին, երբ փաստացի գնում է արտաքին քաղաքական վեկտորի կտրուկ փոփոխության և ԱՄՆ բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաների՝ Հայաստան այցելելուց օրեր անց:

Գաղտնիք չէ, որ Քրիստիննե Գրիգորյանը այսպես կոչված՝ սորոսական շրջանակների ներկայացուցիչ է, իսկ Փաշինյանը բավական երկար ժամանակ դիմադրում էր Արևմուտքի պահանջին՝ սորոսականներին հանձնել ուժային կառույցների ղեկավարումը: Հիշենք, թե ինչպիսի հարձակումներ էին իրականացնում սորոսական շրջակաները իրավապահ համակարգի ղեկավարության դեմ և պահանջում ընդհուպ ոստիկանապետի հրաժարական: Որոշակի փոխզիջումային տարբերակ էր Փաշինյանի կողմից Հակակոռուպցիոն կոմիտեի նախագահ Սասուն Խաչատրյանի նշանակումը, ում եղբայրը, հիշեցնենք, նույնպես սերտ կապեր ունի սորոսական շրջանակների կողմից: Սակայն, սա ընդամենը փոքր քայլ էր և պարզ էր, որ Արևմուտքը ցանկանում է ստանալ շատ ավելի լուրջ լծակներ: Փաստացի, Փաշինյանի կողմից արդեն անթաքույց տարվող հակառուսական քաղաքականության ֆոնին Արևմուտքին հաջողվեց կոտրել վերջինիս դիմադրությունը և անչափ կարևոր լծակ այս պահից սկսած լինելու է հենց Արևմուտքի մարդու ձեռքերում:
