ԱՄՆ-ն վերահաստատել է իր վճռական աջակցությունը Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանությանն ու տարածքային ամբողջականությանը:

«Ամերիկայի ձայն»-ի հայկական ծառայության հարցին ի պատասխան՝ նշել են ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարությունից։

Հարցը կապված է եղել Լեմկինի ինստիտուտի՝ Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի մասին օրերս հնչեցրած մտահոգության հետ:  Լեմկինի Ցեղասպանության կանխարգելման ինստիտուտը հոկտեմբերի 31-ին հայտարարել էր կարմիր դրոշի ահազանգ և խորը մտահոգություն հայտնել առաջիկա օրերին և շաբաթներին Ադրբեջանի կողմից Հայաստան ներխուժելու հավանականության մասին:

Պատասխանելով «Ամերիկայի ձայնի» հարցմանը՝ ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարությունը շեշտել է՝ Հայաստանի «ինքնիշխանության և տարածքային ամբողջականության ցանկացած խախտում կբերի լուրջ հետևանքների»:

Պետքարտուղարության մեկնաբանության մեջ ասված է.

«Միացյալ Նահանգները վճռականորեն աջակցում է Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանությանը և տարածքային ամբողջականությանը: Մենք ընդգծել ենք, որ այդ ինքնիշխանության և տարածքային ամբողջականության ցանկացած խախտում կբերի լուրջ հետևանքների։ Մենք պարբերաբար շեշտում ենք մեր ակնկալիքները, ինչպիսին է ուժի կիրառման դեմ հորդորը, և շարունակաբար հետևում իրավիճակին։ Հայաստանը Միացյալ Նահանգների մտերիմ գործընկերն է ու բարեկամը, և մենք ակնկալում ենք աշխատել Հայաստանի իշխանությունների հետ՝ ամրապնդելու համար Հայաստանի քաղաքական և տնտեսական անվտանգությունը»,- նշել է Միացյալ Նահանգների պետքարտուղարությունը:
