Նա ընդգծել է, որ Պուգաչովային սպասարկել է ռուսախոս մի աղջիկ, ով ճանաչել է ռուս երգչուհուն, ուստի որոշել է ուշադրության արժանացնել նրան։ Նկատողությունից հետո վաճառողուհին փորձել է բուտիկի տերերին բացատրել, որ իրենց մոտ աստղ էր եկել, սակայն սպառնացել են նրան աշխատանքից հեռացնել։ Սեփականատերերն ասել են, որ աղջիկը չպետք է մոռանա մյուս այցելուների մասին։
