Newspaper: What European Parliament President candidate has to do with criminal case on buying, selling Armenia kids?

Armenian Press

Past daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows: The governments of the EU member countries must reach an agreement on the candidate for the [new] President of the European Parliament by July. One of the most likely candidates is considered Mario Draghi, former president of the European Central Bank, former prime minister of Italy.

It is about the same Draghi, whose name is circulating in the framework of the criminal case related to the buying and selling of children in Armenia. The thing is that, according to information, Mario Draghi's son, Giacomo Draghi, also adopted a child from Armenia. Information was published in the press that "when it was announced at the government meeting in Armenia that illegal adoptions were carried out, and then a criminal case was also initiated, a political scandal almost reached maturity: the former prime minister of Italy, his family demanded from the RA authorities to stop the investigation of the case and the shameful uproar, which harms their family and violates the rights of the adopted child."

Accordingly, the Armenian side had to remove from the criminal file the episode of the grandson of the Italian prime minister and the data on the adoption carried out by Draghi.

And here, now the same Mario Draghi aspires to become the President of the European Parliament.
