«Հրապարակ» օրաթերթը գրում է․  «Տարածաշրջանում հիմա նոր կարգ է ստեղծվում։ Ժամանակն է դեն նետել անհիմն հիշողությունները, ավելի լավ է գործել՝ ելնելով ներկայիս ժամանակի իրողություններից», -  Հայոց ցեղասպանության հիշատակի օրվան ընդառաջ երեկ հայտարարել է Թուրքիայի նախագահը Էրդողանը՝ հավելելով, որ Հայաստանի ղեկավարը ևս համակարծիք է իր հետ։

Թուրքիայի նախագահի հայտարարություններից հետո Հայաստանի հասարակական-քաղաքական շրջանակներում երեկվանից տագնապալից սպասումներ են ձեւավորվել Փաշինյանի այսօրվա` ապրիլի 24-ի ուղերձի վերաբերյալ։ Մեծ մասի կարծիքով Փաշինյանը «կընդառաջի» Էրդողանի առաջարկին՝ «անհիմն հիշողությունները» դեն նետելու մեսիջներ հղելով եւ հանդես գալով ցեղասպանության ճանաչման գործընթացին անդառնալի հարված հասցնող ուղերձով, հատկապես որ իշխանությունները փորձում են հանրությանը համոզել, որ դեռ պետք է համոզվել ցեղասպանության իրողության հարցում` անուն առ անուն ճշտել 1.5 միլիոն զոհերին։

Նշենք, որ երիտքպականների մոտ վերջերս դասախոսություն կարդալիս Փաշինյանը համառորեն չէր օգտագործում ցեղասպանություն բառը՝ այն փոխարինելով Մեծ եղեռնով, եւ այս տենդենցը նկատելի է նաեւ պետական գրեթե բոլոր հաստատությունների կողմից:

Դիցուք՝ Երեւանի Մետրոպոլիտենը. ապրիլքսանչորսյան աշխատանքային գրաֆիկը հրապարակելով ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում մի քանի անգամ խմբագրել է՝ Ցեղասպանությունը փոխելով Մեծ եղեռնի արտահայտությամբ եւ, ի վերջո, ընտրել է` ոչ նալին, ոչ մեխին տարբերակը. մի տեղ մի բառն են գրել, մյուս տեղ՝ երկրորդը։ Արդյոք սա նշանակո՞ւմ է, որ ՀՀ իշխանությունն առաջիկայում հանձն է առնելու նաեւ Տոների եւ հիշատակի օրերի մասին ՀՀ օրենքի փոփոխությունը, որի հինգերորդ հոդվածի համաձայն «Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակի օր նշվում է ապրիլի 24-ին, ոչ աշխատանքային օր»։
