At least 26 killed in spate of attacks in Iraqi capital
Middle EastAs a result of a spate of attacks in the Iraqi capital, at least 26 people were killed, dozens wounded.
A suicide bomber detonated a car bomb in the south of the capital in Jihad quarter, as a wedding procession was driving by, killing 16.
Another raid by extremists in the western commercial district of el-Ghazaliya killed 10 civilians and injured more than 30 in two almost simultaneous blasts, as a pipe bomb and booby-trapped car blew up.
In addition, an explosive device was blown up in the vicinity of Baquba (60 km north of Baghdad) at a football stadium, with two people falling victim.
