Torres: "Mourinho is very demanding"
SportUpon his arrival to join his international teammates for the Confederations Cup, Chelsea's number 9, Fernando Torres, was ecstatic about getting back into the Spain squad.
"I missed out on selection the last two times. It's a tough job getting selected but the end of the season has been fantastic, both for me and for my club, and I really want to get back to training, playing and achieving things for the national side", he said after being asked whether he had doubts if he'd be called up this time.
"You need to turn up with the same hopes and expectations as you had on the first day, because a team that has won so much has to keep dreaming, and stay motivated. Also, the Confederations Cup is a competition we have yet to win", he commented.
Torres didn't want to pass judgment on his new coach at Chelsea, Jose Mourinho: "There have been rumours about him coming for some time, and they have been confirmed now. We are facing up to an important competition in the Confederations Cup, and it requires our full concentration. When it's over then I'll have time to think about Chelsea and about a manager that we all know is very demanding, but for the moment the national team is what matters".
