Правительство Японии в связи с ситуацией вокруг Украины намерено поддерживать тесную координацию действий с "семеркой", сохранять диалог с Россией и стремиться к мирному дипломатическому решению существующих проблем. Такую позицию высказал на пресс-конференции в Токио генеральный секретарь кабинета министров Ёсихидэ Суга.

"Принятые в Гааге решения, - сказал он, - не означают, что Россию навечно исключают из "восьмерки". Напротив, "семерка" подталкивает Россию к тому, чтобы искать пути дипломатического урегулирования проблем и принимать ответственные решения. Япония надеется на возвращение к атмосфере, которая позволит проводить в рамках всей "восьмерки" имеющие смысл дискуссии. Поддерживая координацию действий с "семеркой", наша страна стремится к диалогу с Россией и будет выполнять свою роль, направленную на мирное, дипломатическое решение проблем".

Отвечая на вопрос о возможности дополнительных санкций, генсек кабинета отметил, что этот вопрос будет решаться в сотрудничестве с "семеркой". "Нужно посмотреть, как Россия воспримет (принятое в Гааге 24 марта) заявление "семерки", - сказал Суга. - Наша страна четко обозначила позицию, которая сводится к тому, что мы ни в коем случае не можем смириться с изменением статус-кво путем силы. Япония будет реагировать на происходящее в координации с "семеркой".
Генсек кабинета также подчеркнул, что пока не выработан график возможного визита главы японского МИД Фумио Кисиды в Москву, который ранее планировался на конец апреля. "Конкретные сроки не определены, - отметил он, - решение будет принято на основе комплексного анализа ситуации".

Ранее министр по вопросам восстановления экономики Акира Амари заявил в Токио, что правительство Японии выступает за восстановление участия России в "восьмерке" после разрешения возникших проблем вокруг Украины.
"Россия - важный игрок, имеющий отношение к поддержанию мирового порядка.- сказал он,- Хотелось бы, чтобы она восстановила свое участие в "восьмерке", разрешив проблемы, на которые указывает международное сообщество".
