Russia’s heavyweight Povetkin to face off Cameroon’s Takam this fall

Russia’s heavyweight boxer Alexander Povetkin was announced to hold his next bout against Cameroon’s Carlos Takam on October 24 in the Russian capital of Moscow, the press service of the World of Boxing promoting company, which represents Povetkin’s interests, reported on Tuesday.
According to the press service, the bout has been provisionally set to be held at the Luzhniki Sports Arena in Moscow.
The 34-year-old Russian boxer, known as ‘Russian Vityaz,’ has a professional boxing record of 28 bouts (27-1, 19 KOs) and he completed his most recent bout against Germany’s Manuel Charr on May 30 in Moscow with a knockout victory.
His 33-year-old Cameroonian contender also won his latest bout against US Tony Thompson on June 6 in France. Takam has a professional boxing record of 32 bouts (30-1, 23 KOs, 1 Draw).
