Mayor Taron Margaryan:”We must preserve and protect our city”
ArmeniaWithin the frames of the citywide tree planting announced for April 11 new saplings have enriched the parks of the capital. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan planted trees in the park adjacent to American University of Armenia which was completely reconstructed last year.
The residents of the administrative district of Arabkir who were taking part in tree planting thanked the Mayor of Yerevan for the construction of the park which had become a recreation zone. In his turn the Mayor of the capital assured that that the programs aimed at increasing the number of recreation zones in the capital would be continued. Taron Margaryan called the residents to keep the cleanness of the capital and treat Yerevan like a good master.
“The city authorities certainly undertook the task of expansion and preservation of the green zones in the capital. To achieve this active participation of the residents of Yerevan is needed. I call our townspeople to take active part in this issue. It is certainly pleasant to note that from year to year the number of participants is increasing. Taking the opportunity I want to thank everybody for the participation in the citywide tree planting and clean-up. Together we must preserve and protect our city. Our programs will be of long character and I am sure that as a result of teamwork we will have the city we have been dreaming of”, said Taron Margaryan.
