During the regular working meeting Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was reported that 12 cases of illegal construction and land occupation had been revealed in the sphere of urban development the previous week and administrative records had been drawn up. At three addresses the illegal constructions were dismantled. As a result of the control over the conditions of building sites organization 16 violations had been revealed. The Mayor instructed to set special control over the documentation given for building and over construction activities.
The head of the Department of Building and Improvement reported that asphalting, hole filling and repairing and crack filling activities provided by the program of 2015 are going on in the central and yard areas. “The heads of the administrative districts have a lot to do here. We intended to finish the volumes of asphalting on all the roads, in yard areas of the capital. We can’t carry out big volumes of asphalting every year.Over the last four years more asphalting activities were carried out than within the previous 20 years. According to the specialists, it makes it possible to keep the durability of the work done by current maintaining for at least 5 years to come. This year we announced a competition for hole repairing. So, make detailed inventory of the holes in all the streets and yard areas and see to it they were completely repaired. We must achieve that there will be no holes in Yerevan, and after carrying out final asphalting in private sector and in the streets we could consider the problem solved and in the following years we could include in our programs only the expenditures for maintenance», stressed Taron Margaryan.
It was reported that within the frames of the control over the operation of public transport carried out jointly with the Road Police 42 records had been drawn up 33 of which related to parking of other vehicles at public transport stops. To avoid traffic jams and to relieve the heavy traffic in streets the problem of one-way traffic organization in some streets of Kentron district was studied jointly with the Road Police. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to discuss all the suggestions and in case of positive result of the program the experience is to be used in other administrative districts. It was instructed to finish the testing in August so that to ensure regular traffic in September.
Concerning illegal street vending prevention the head of the Department of Trade and Services reported that as a result of carried out control 18 records had been drawn up within the last two weeks.
The head of the Department of Nature Protection reported that landscaping and flower decoration process is going on in all administrative districts. The second stage of tree curing was finished as well. The Mayor instructed to keep the process under permanent control and taking into account the weather conditions to supervise the process of irrigation and grass mowing to exclude possible cases of fires.
The control over sanitary cleaning is going on in the capital too. It was reported that additional dustbins are being placed where necessary. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the heads of the districts and the persons in charge of the sphere to control the activities of sanitary cleaning entities and to take measures to ensure their proper activity
The positive results are obvious in those districts where trash removal is carried out by «Sanitek» company, however such assessment can't be given to other sanitary entities working in administrative districts. According to the contractual liability «Sanitek» is to carry out cleaning of the sidewalks and roads, as well as the trash removal from garbage disposals of the blocks of flats. And cleaning of lawns and other green areas is to be fulfilled by sanitary entities and they fail their liabilities. Corresponding units of the administrative districts and condominiums have a lot to do in this regard. Each party is to meet their obligation» said Taron Margaryan.
Concerning the 6th Pan Armenian Games it was reported that in accordance with the directive of Mayor Taron Margaryan necessary measures are taken to provide proper organization and holding of the event, to host the guests, sportsmen and coaches arriving from Diaspora and to ensure proper participation of Yerevan team. It was also reported that the actions provided within the frames of «Yerevan summer 2015» three-month programs are going on in accordance with the schedule. To provide wider awareness of the population about the programs it was instructed to activate public awareness activity.
The head of the Department of Control presenting the process of implementation of the decisions and directives made by the Mayor in the second term reported that 1096 decisions and 137 directives were made.
