Azerbaijan violated ceasefire regime about 1400 times during past week

According to the data of the Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, the rival violated the ceasefire regime for about 1400 times in the line of contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing armies from December 6 to December 12. More than 15 thousand shots were fired towards Armenian frontier troops from weapons of different caliber as well as from 60mm, 82mm and 120
mm mortars, RPG-7 and AGS-17 grenade launchers. The enemy also applied ZU-23-2 antiaircraft mounts during the abovementioned period.
The Press Service of the Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic informed “Armenpress” that the Azerbaijani side opened fire from tank at the military bases located in the southern direction of the Defense Army on December 8, for the first time since signing the ceasefire agreement.
Taking into account the created situation, the Defense Army frontier troops took punitive measures to suppress the aggression of the enemy and eliminated several significant military facilities of the Azerbaijani armed forces located near the front line.
