Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian presented today to the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and crisis in Georgia Herbert Salber the damage caused to the negotiation process by the large-scale agression Azerbaijan unleashed against Artsakh, as well as the efforts aimed on recovery from its consequences.
According to Armenian Foreign Ministry press service, the EU Special Representative noted that the NK issue has no military solution, and the European Union supports the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs’ efforts in exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict.
The interlocutors exchanged ideas about the possibilities of resuming the negotiation process.
Edward Nalbandian stressed that potential meetings at this moment might focus on the prevention of Azerbaijan’s another attack on Artsakh as the one in early April, unconditional complience with the trilateral Agreements on Ceasefire and Strengthening of ceasefire regime of 1994-1995, which are of unlimited duration, and introduction of incident investigation mechanism. According to the Minister, these steps will create according conditions for continuing the negotiation process.
