Negotiations on, artillery silent – Armenian MP

Armenia should set two preconditions for resuming negotiations: ceasefire observation and Nagorno-Karabakh’s involvement in the negotiations, Armen Rustamyan head of the parliamentary faction of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) party, told a press briefing.
Azerbaijan has stripped itself of the right to further negotiations as one cannot speak of a peace process while unleashing war.
“This abnormal situation had to be ended. Our diplomatic error is that we allowed double standards and allowed Azerbaijan to cause the process to take a course it wanted. If we conduct negotiations, artillery must be silent. Otherwise, we do not need negotiations,” Mr Rustamyan said.
