2020 թվականի մայիսի 28-ին՝ ժամը 06:55-ի սահմաններում, Հայաստանի Հանրապետության արդարադատության նախարարության «Արմավիր» քրեակատարողական հիմնարկի աշխատակիցները դատապարտյալ Ա. Պ.-ին տեղափոխել են «Վաղարշապատ» բժշկական կենտրոն, որի մուտքի պատուհանի անկյունում նկատել են կասկածելի փաթեթ և անմիջապես հաղորդում ներկայացրել Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ոստիկանության Արմավիրի մարզային վարչության Վաղարշապատի բաժին: Դատապարտյալ Ա. Պ.-ն, զգալով բացահայտվելու վտանգը, ձեռնպահ է մնացել իր համար նախատեսված թմրամիջոցները վերցնելուց:

Այնուհետև ավելի ուշ՝ ժամը 07:25-ի սահմաններում, քաղաքացիներ Վ. Մ.-ն, Կ. Դ.-ն և Տ. Գ.-ն՝ պարզելով, որ վերոնշյալ դատապարտյալը իրենց կողմից նախապես դրված փաթեթը չի ստացել պայմանավորված վայրից, այն հետ են վերցրել, սակայն ՀՀ ոստիկանության Արմավիրի մարզային վարչության Վաղարշապատի բաժնի ՔՀ բաժանմունքի աշխատակիցները, իրացնելով ՀՀ ԱՆ «Արմավիր» քրեակատարողական հիմնարկից ստացված օպերատիվ տվյալները, BMW մակնիշի ավտոմեքենայի հետ միասին հիշյալ քաղաքացիներին բերման են ենթարկել: Անձնական խուզարկությամբ Տ. Գ.-ի մոտից հայտնաբերվել են մեթամֆետամին տեսակի թմրամիջոցին նմանվող, 1.78 գրամ քաշով, սպիտակ, փոշենման և մարիխուանա տեսակի թմրամիջոցին նմանվող, 1.90 գրամ քաշով, դեղնականաչավուն, բուսական զանգվածներ:

Նույն օրը՝ ժամը 16:00-ի սահմաններում, Հայաստանի Հանրապետության արդարադատության նախարարության «Արթիկ» քրեակատարողական հիմնարկի աշխատակիցները, հիմնարկի տարածքում հերթական շրջայցը կատարելիս, խոտածածկի մեջ նկատել են ներնետված կասկածելի առարկա:

Զննությամբ օվալաձև պլաստմասե տարայում հայտնաբերել են 2 փաթեթ, որոնցում եղել են ափիոն տեսակի թմրամիջոցին նմանվող, 19.22 և 7.92 գրամ քաշերով շագանակագույն, մածուցիկ ու փոշենման, առանձնապես խոշոր չափերի զանգվածներ:

Փաստերի առթիվ նախապատրաստվում են նյութեր, նշանակվել են դատաքիմիական փորձաքննություններ:
