Հունիսի 10-ի գիշերը ոստիկանության Մալաթիայի բաժնում հաղորդում ստացվեց, որ Հարավարևմտյան Ա-1 թաղամասում կրակոցներ են հնչել։ Ահազանգին արագ արձագանքած օպերատիվ-քննչական խմբերը հետախուզական միջոցառումների արդյունքում պարզեցին, որ դեպքը տեղի է ունեցել Սվաճյան փողոցի թիվ 42 հասցեի մոտ։
Այդ ընթացքում բաժնում հնչեց ևս մեկ ահազանգ. «Աստղիկ» բժշկական կենտրոնից հայտնեցին, որ ձախ ոտքի հրազենային վնասվածքով հիվանդանոց է տեղափոխվել Երևանի 21-ամյա բնակիչ:Հետագայում պարզվեց, որ երիտասարդը հրազենային վնասվածքը ստացել է հենց Սվաճյան փողոցում։ Փաստական տվյալներ ձեռք բերվեցին, որ մի խումբ անձանց մասնակցությամբ վեճ է տեղի ունեցել։ Երիտասարդների պարզաբանումները հանգուցալուծվել են կրակոցներով։
Դեպքի վայրի զննությամբ հայտնաբերվեցին 7,62 մմ տրամաչափի երեք պարկուճ և երկու գնդակ։ Մալաթիայի քրեական հետախույզները օպերատիվ միջոցառումներով փաստական տվյալներ ձեռք բերեցին միջադեպի մասնակցիների, ինչպեսև կրակոցներ արձակելու մեջ կասկածվող երիտասարդի ինքնության վերաբերյալ։ Խոսքը Երևանի բնակիչ, 22-ամյա մի երիտասարդի մասին է։ Նրան և հրազենը հայտնաբերելու միջոցառումներին զուգահեռ ոստիկանության ծառայողները նաև բացատրական աշխատանք սկսեցին, ինչն արդյունք տվեց հունիսի 12-ին։ Կասկածվողը ներկայացավ ոստիկանության Մալաթիայի բաժին՝ բերելով հանցագործության գործիք «Կալաշնիկով» ինքնաձիգը։
Երիտասարդը ոստիկանությունից ներկայացվեց տարածքային քննչական բաժին ու ձերբակալվեց։
Նշանակվել են փորձաքննություններ, այդ թվում՝ դատաձգաբանական։ Հարուցված քրեական գործի նախաքննությունը շարունակվում է։
