Հուլիսի 5-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց ՀՀ Գեղարքունիքի մարզային իշխանությունների ներկայացուցիչներին՝ գլխավորությամբ մարզպետ Գնել Սանոսյանի և ուղեկցությամբ Գեղարքունիքի թեմի առաջնորդական տեղապահ Հոգեշնորհ Տ. Պարթև վարդապետ Բարսեղյանի:

Հանդիպմանը Հայր Պարթևը, Նորին Սրբությանը ներկայացնելով հյուրերին, իր երախտագիտությունը հայտնեց Վեհափառ Հայրապետին թեմի հանդեպ ցուցաբերված հայրական հոգատարության և համավարակի հետևանքները մեղմելու նպատակով Մայր Աթոռի կողմից մարզի սոցիալապես անապահով խավի շուրջ 600 ընտանիքների պարենային օգնություն տրամադրելու համար։ Հայր Սուրբը հաստատեց նաև, որ մարզային ու թեմական բոլոր կառույցների միջև առկա է արդյունավետ գործակցություն ի խնդիր մարզի զարգացման և բնակչության բարօրության։

Այնուհետև Գեղարքունիքի մարզպետ Գնել Սանոսյանն իր շնորհակալությունը հայտնեց Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսին ջերմ ընդունելության համար։ Մարզպետն ուրախությամբ արձանագրեց, որ մարզի ու թեմի միջև առկա է սերտ փոխգործակցություն՝ կարևորելով թեմի հոգևորականների՝ մարզի բնակչության հոգևոր կյանքի ամրապնդմանն ուղղված գործունեությունը։ Պրն․ Սանոսյանը կարևոր նկատեց նաև Հայոց Եկեղեցու դերակատարությունը պետականաշինության գործում։ Գեղարքունիքի մարզպետը նաև Նորին Սրբությանը տեղեկություններ փոխանցեց մարզում իրականացվող տնտեսական, սոցիալական և մշակութային ծրագրերի վերաբերյալ։

Հայրապետական իր օրհնությունը փոխանցելով հյուրերին՝ Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը գոհունակություն հայտնեց թեմի ու մարզպետարանի միջև հաստատված գործակցային հարաբերությունների համար, որոնք, ըստ Վեհափառ Հայրապետի, պիտի նպաստեն մարզի ազգաբնակչության բարօրությանը։ Նորին Սրբությունը հավաստիացրեց, որ Մայր Աթոռը շարունակելու է իր աջակցությունը ցուցաբերել մարզում առկա սոցիալական դժվարությունների և համավարակի հաղթահարման համար։

Հայոց Հովվապետը գնահատանքով անդրադարձավ մարզային իշխանությունների կողմից թեմի եկեղեցիների, վանական համալիրների ու պատմամշակութային վայրերի պահպանմանը, վերանորոգմանն ու բարեկարգմանը դարձվող ուշադրությանը։ Այս իմաստով Հայոց Հայրապետը փաստեց, որ հոգևոր կյանքի ամրությունը նպաստում է ժողովրդի բարօրությանն ու առաջընթացի կերտմանը։

Վերջում Նորին Սրբությունը մարզի պատասխանատուներին մաղթեց Աստծո օրհնությունն ու օգնականությունն իրենց առաքելության իրականացման գործում՝ ի նպաստ մարզի շենացման, բարգավաճման ու հզորացման։
