Safarov receives pardon from Ilham Aliyev
AzerbaijanAzerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree, pardoning Ramil Safarov, who axed Armenian Officer Gurgen Margaryan during NATO exercises in Budapest, Azerbaijani media report, citing the President’s Press Office.
Safarov was sentenced to life in prison and was bearing punishment in one of Hungarian jails.
According to another information published on Azerbaijani websites, Ramil Safarov is extradited to Azerbaijan. According to 1news.az, information was confirmed by reliable sources. Safarov’s photo immediately was posted on Facebook, then he was unreachable.
