Հֆֆ նախկին նախագահ Ռուբեն Հայրապետյանն իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել է.

«Մեծ ափսոսանք ու զայրույթ եմ ապրում հետևելով համացանցում վարվող ակտիվ քննարկումներին՝ կապված Հենրիկ Մխիթարյանի ազգային հավաքականի առաջիկա հավաքին չմիանալուն: Բանը հասել է նրան, որ հայկական ֆուտբոլի և ողջ հայության պարծանքի հասցեին գրվում են վիրավորական ու զրպարտիչ մեկնաբանություններ, հնչեցվում են նրա կողմից մեր ֆուտբոլին ու մեր հայրենիքին մատուցած ծառայությունների անուրանալի մեծ դերակատարությունը նսեմացնող հայտարարություններ:
Չիմանալով անգամ Հենոյի հավաքին չմիանալու պատճառների մասին, կարող եմ համոզված ու վստահ պնդել, որ նա կարող էր դա անել միայն շատ ծանրակշիռ դրդապատճառների կամ այդ մասնակցությունը անհնարինության աստիճանին համարժեք դարձնող հանգամանքների առկայության դեպքում: Եվ պետք է հիասթափեցնեմ այն պնդումների հեղինակներին, թե Հենոյի որոշման պատճառը կարող էր լինել իմ կամ այլոց հետ լավ կամ վատ հարաբերությունը, որովհետև Հենոյի հայրենասիրությունը շատ ավելի վեր է, քան այս կամ անձի հետ նրա հարաբերությունը: Եվ առհասարակ, նա իմ ճանաչած և բոլոր ժամանակների ամենահայրենասեր հայ ֆուտբոլիստներից մեկն է, ով ոչ մեկ անգամ է դա ապացուցել ինչպես դաշտում և այնպես էլ դրանից դուրս: Հասկանանք ու գնահատենք նաև, որ նա շատ հաճախ դա արել է՝ վտանգելով իր առողջությունն ու վեր կանգնելով նեղ անձնական շահերից: Հենոն եզակի այն հայրենասերներից է, ով գիտի բարեգործություն անել, ով գիտի բարեգործություն անել և շատ հաճախ անգամ դրա մասին չխոսել: Նա երբ պետք էր՝ Արցախում էր, երբ պետք՝ Հայաստանի որևէ մի սահմանամերձ գյուղում, մանկատանը, հիվանդանոցում, իր ժողովրդի ու իր զինվորի կողքին: Եվ նույնիսկ այն հանգամանքը, որ անձը, որը հենց այդ նույն օրերին ակտիվորեն ու բացահայտ հանդես էր գալիս Արցախի Հանրապետության և հայոց բանակի դեմ, իսկ այսօր զբաղեցնում է ՀՖՖ նախագահի աթոռը՝ չէր կարող Հենոյի համար պատճառ հանդիսանալ չմիանալու ազգային թիմին:
Կարծես թե ժամանակակից հայ սորոսականների վարկաբեկման թիրախում են հայտնվել ոչ միայն Արցախի գոյամարտի և առհասարակ մեր հաղթանակած բանակի հերոսները, այլ նաև ցանկացած, այդ թվում սպորտի բնագավառի մեր ազգային պարծանքները՝ Արթուր Ալեքսանյան, Ռոման Ամոյան, այժմ նաև Հենրիկ Մխիթարյան ... մինչև ու՞ր, մինչև ե՞րբ:
Համոզված եմ, որ անկախ ՀՖՖ ղեկավարության կողմից Հենրիկ Մխիթարյանի առաջիկա հավաքից բացակայելու լուրի ոչ կոմպետենտ, կամ որ շատ ավելի վատ է՝ միտումնավոր լղոզված ներկայացնելու հանգամանքից և անկախ նրանից, որ լուրը համացանցում բացասական նոտայով ակտիվ հրահրողներից էին նաև որոշ ՀՖՖ աշխատակիցներ և ՀՖՖ ներկայիս ղեկավարության որոշ ընկերներ՝ միևնունն է, մենք բոլորս դեռևս երկար (իմ կարծիքով առնվազն 5-6 տարի) ենք վայելելու Հենոյի գեղեցիկ խաղը լավագույն Եվրոպական ակումբներում, դեռևս շատ ՀՖՖ ներկայիս անբարտավան ղեկավար աշխատակիցներ կճանապարհվեն նրա կողմից, և որ ամենակարևորն է, համոզված եմ, որ դեռևս բազմաթիվ անգամներ ենք տեսնելու մեր սիրելի Հենոյին ավագի թևկապով մեր սիրելի ազգային հավաքականի հաղթանակները առաջնորդելիս:
Կոչ եմ անում և խնդրում բոլոր իմ համախոհներին և հայկական ֆուտբոլի բոլոր ազնիվ երկրպագուներին աջակցել Հենրիկ Մխիթարյանին»:
