«Սիրելի՛ հայրենակիցներ Հայաստանում, Արցախում եւ Սփյուռքում

Հայաստանի Հանրապետության հարգելի՛ քաղաքացիներ,

Շնորհավորում եմ բոլորիս Անկախության տոնի առթիվ:

1991թ.-ի սեպտեմբերի 21-ի գալուն մենք շատ երկար ենք սպասել: Հաջողությունների ու անհաջողությունների, վերելքի ու անկումի, հույսերի ու հուսախաբության երկարուձիգ տարիներից հետո, շուրջ վեց հարյուրամյակ տեւած պայքարի արդյունքում հայոց աշխարհը վերածնվեց, հայոց պետականությունը վերականգնվեց եւ աշխարհի քաղաքական քարտեզի վրա նորից հայտնվեց Հայաստան անունը:

Երբեմն լսում ենք կարծիքներ, որ Հայաստանին անկախությունը պատահաբար բաժին հասավ, գրեթե ոչինչ չանելով ու այդ նվիրական նպատակի համար չպայքարելով` ստացանք այն սկուտեղի վրա: Դա, իհարկե, այդպես չէ: Սեպտեմբերի 21-ը մենք կերտեցինք Անգեղակոթի ժողովի քննարկումներում, Դավիթ Բեկի հերոսական պայքարում, «Որոգայթ փառացի» էջերում, Սարդարապատի ճակատամարտի դաշտերում, Երկրորդ համաշխարհայինի ճակատներում, Ղարաբաղ կոմիտեի շարքերում, Արցախյան հաղթական ազատամարտում:

Անցած 29 տարիների ընթացքում փորձությունների ու մարտահրավերների պակաս չենք ունեցել: Սակայն հայ ժողովուրդը հաջողությամբ հաղթահարել է բոլոր դժվարությունները եւ այսօր հասել ենք մի կետի, երբ ունենք անկախ, կայացած ու դեպի ապագան նայող պետություն: Իսկ Թավշյա հեղափոխության արդյունքում մենք անշրջելիորեն արձանագրեցինք, որ անկախ Հայաստանը ժողովրդավարական հանրապետություն է, որտեղ օրենքի առջեւ հավասար են բոլորը, որտեղ մարդու իրավունքներն ու ազատությունները պաշտպանված են եւ որտեղ շարունակաբար բարելավվում են մարդու ապրելու եւ արարելու պայմանները:

Համոզված եմ, որ միասնաբար կջախջախենք մեր անկախության նկատմամբ ցանկացած ոտնձգություն եւ որ 21-րդ դարը հայ ժողովրդի անկասելի վերելքի ժամանակաշրջանն է լինելու:

Կեցցե՛ Անկախությունը, կեցցե՛ Ազատությունը, կեցցե՛ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը»:
