ՀՀ կրթության, գիտության, մշակույթի և սպորտի նախարարությունը 2019 թ․-ից բյուջետային ֆինանսավորմամբ էականորեն ընդլայնել է հայերենի և հայագիտական առարկաների դասավանդման աջակցության ծրագրերը:

Այն արդեն 2020–21 ուսումնական տարում իրականացվում է 8 պետության 10 հաստատություններում՝ նախկին 4-ի փոխարեն՝ ներկայում ընդգրկելով Պրահայի Կարլովի (Չեխիայի Հանրապետություն), Բուխարեստի (Ռումինիա), Վենետիկի Կա՛Ֆոսկարի, Հռոմի Լա՛Սապիենցա (Իտալիայի Հանրապետություն), Զալցբուրգի (Ավստրիայի Հանրապետություն), Կահիրեի (Եգիպտոսի Արաբական Հանրապետություն), Արգենտինայի Քենեդի (Արգենտինայի Հանրապետություն) համալսարանները, Պոտսդամի Լեփսիուսի տուն-թանգարանը և Հալլեի «Մեսրոպ» հայագիտական հետազոտությունների կենտրոնը (Գերմանիայի Դաշնային Հանրապետություն), և Մոսկվայի միջազգային հարաբերությունների պետական ինստիտուտը (Ռուսաստանի Դաշնություն): Ծրագրի իրագործման նպատակով ՀՀ պետական բյուջեից ֆինանսավորումն հիմնականում իրականացվում է տվյալ համալսարանի և ՀՀ դեսպանությունների միջև կնքված հուշագրերի կամ համաձայնագրերի հիման վրա։

Այս ծրագրով ԿԳՄՍ նախարարությունը հետամուտ է աջակցել հայերենի և հայագիտության տարածմանը և ամրապնդմանը օտարերկրյա պետությունների համալսարաններում և հետազոտական կենտրոններում։ Սա լայն հնարավորություն է ճանաչելի դարձնել հայկական մշակույթն ու ինքնությունը, մեծացնել միջազգային հեռաքրքրությունը մեր ժողովրդի և մշակույթի նկատմամբ, ինչպես նաև տեղի հայ համայնքներում նպաստել հայկական արժեքների պահպանմանը:

Դասավանդումն իրականացվում է հիմնականում տեղի հայագիտական ոլորտի կադրերի կողմից, երբեմն նաև Հայաստանից գործուղված մասնագետի միջոցով (Բուխարեստի համալսարան):

Հաստատություններում հայերենի իրավական կարգավիճակը տարբեր է. Վենետիկի Կա՛Ֆոսկարի համալսարանում հայերենը դասավանդվում է 3 ուսումնական տարի՝ լեզվաբանների համար։ Բուխարեստում այն ընտրովի առարկա է։ Պրահայում և Զալցբուրգում դասավանդվում են նաև այլ հայագիտական առարկաներ՝ Հայոց պատմություն, Հայ քրիստոնեության պատմություն, Հայ գրականություն և այլն։

2020 թ․ առաջին անգամ ֆինանսավորվել են հետազոտական աշխատանքներ, որի նպատակով հուշագիր է ստորագրվել Պոտսդամի Լեփսիուսի տուն-թանգարանի ինստիտուի և Հալլեի «Մեսրոպ» հայագիտական հետազոտությունների կենտրոնի հետ:

Հարկ է նշել, որ ԿԳՄՍՆ–ն հետևողական աշխատանքներ է տանում արտերկրում հայագիտության ցանցի ընդլայնման ուղղությամբ:
