«Ազնավուր» հիմնադրամի համահիմնադիր, հոգաբարձուների խորհրդի նախագահ» Նիկոլա Ազնավուրը նամակ է հղել Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնին:

«Հարգելի՛ պարոն նախագահ, Սիրելի՛ բարեկամ, հայ ժողովրդի հավատարի՛մ
աջակից, վերջին օրերը ցավով ու խոր անհանգստությամբ էին լի ողջ հայ ազգի համար։ Հայ ժողովրդին դարձյալ վտանգ է սպառնում, և, ինչպես 1915-ին, այսօր էլ նա ստիպված է պայքար մղել իր գոյության համար։ Հայ դիրքապահները քաջաբար պահում են երկրի սահմանները, սակայն մարտերը թեժ են, և զոհերը՝ բազմաթիվ։ Ես ևս մեկ անգամ դիմում եմ Ձեզ՝ որպես մի մարդու և առաջնորդի, որը չի վախենում ճշմարտությունն ասել, և որի համար մարդկային արժեքները գերակա են: Դուք սա ապացուցել եք Ձեր ղեկավարման այս ողջ ընթացքում։

Ձեր վերջին ելույթներում Դուք ևս մեկ անգամ հիշեցրիք հայերին և աշխարհին, որ Հայաստանը մենակ չէ այդ դահիճների դեմ հանդիման։ Դուք համարձակորեն դատապարտեցիք Թուրքիայի կեղծավորությունն ու ցինիզմը եւ նրա մեղսակցությունը Բաքվի հանցագործություններին: Այս հակամարտության ընթացքում սիրիացի ջիհադիստների՝ վարձկան-ահաբեկիչների ներգրավումը եւս մեկ անգամ ցույց է տալիս այդ կառավարությունների անբարո ձեռագիրը եւ գուժում ահաբեկչական սպառնալիքի մասին, որը Թուրքիայի ձեռամբ հասնում է Եվրոպայի և Ռուսաստանի մատույցներին: Բաքուն թիրախավորում է խաղաղ բնակիչներին եւ լրագրողներին՝ օգտագործելով արգելված զինամթերք, խախտելով միջազգային իրավունքի բոլոր սկզբունքները։

Ձեր և ֆրանսիացի ժողովրդի աջակցությունն անչափ կարևոր է մեզ համար:

Խնդրում եմ Ձեզ գործուն քայլերի դիմել հանուն մեր ժողովրդի փրկության՝ ճանաչելով Արցախի Հանրապետությունը որպես ինքնիշխան պետություն, որը կկարողանա օգտվել միջազգային իրավունքի դրույթներից, խնդրում եմ տնտեսական պատժամիջոցներ կիրառել Ադրբեջանի եւ Թուրքիայի դեմ՝ նրանց գործած հանցագործությունների համար, ինչպես նաեւ ճնշում գործադրել ՄԱԿ-ի վրա՝ տարածաշրջանում խաղաղություն վերահաստատելու մեխանիզմներ գործի դնելու նպատակով։

Ես հավատում եմ Ձեզ ու Ձեր սկզբունքայնությանը, լիահույս եմ, որ մարդասիրական եւ ժողովրդավարական մեր արժեքները հաղթանակ կտանեն բռնապետության ու ոճրագործության դեմ, որոնց շարժիչ ուժը ագահությունն է եւ իշխանության ծարավը: Հայաստանը քաղաքակրթության բերդամրոցն է, որը պետք է պաշտպանել»:
