24-ամյա Տիգրան Ավագյանը ծառայում էր Հորադիզի շրջանի N զորամասում։ Բանակ էր զորակոչվել մեկ ամիս առաջ, ռազմական բժիշկ էր, բուժծառայության պետ։

Հերոսը եղել է մարտի ամենաթեժ կետում։ Տիգրանի մանկության ընկերը՝ Սամվել Հունանյանը, ԼՈՒՐԵՐ.com-ի հետ զրույցում պատմում է, որ Տիգրանը, հավատարիմ մնալով իր երդմանը, փրկելով հարյուրավոր կյանքեր՝ անմահացել է հոկտեմբերի 27-ին՝ զոհված զինծառայողների մարմինները կրակի տակից հանելու և մարտի դաշտից նրանց տեղափոխելու ճանապարհին։

Տիգրանը Երևանի Մխիթար Հերացու անվան պետական բժշկական համալսարանի շրջանավարտ էր։ Վերջերս ստացել էր լեյտենանտի կոչում։

Դժվար պահերին ընկերներին օգնող Տիգրանի բացակայությանը համակերպվելը շատ դժվար է։ Ընկերներն ասում են՝ Տիգրանը աչքի է ընկել իր բարությամբ, բոլորին օգնելու պատրաստակամությամբ։

Տիգրանը սովորել է Երևանի թիվ 46 ավագ դպրոցում։ Նրա պատմության ուսուցչուհին էլ նշում է, Տիգրանն ուներ սիրուն ժպիտ, աչքերից միշտ լույս էր ճառագում․ «Բոլոր մարդկային լավ հատկանիշներն ամփոփված էին իր մեջ, միշտ այնքան կիրթ, դաստիարակված էր՝ առանց որևէ ավելորդության»:

Տիգրանի դասընկերուհին` Սյուզաննա Խանզադյանը, վերհիշում է, որ ամեն հարցում Տիգրանն օգնում էր իրեն․ «Տիգրանի հետ 3 տարի կիսել եմ դպրոցական նստարանը։ Շատ խելացի էր, համեստ ու բարի։ Ես լավ չէի տեսնում ու ամաչում էի ակնոց կրել, ինքը միշտ ստուգողական աշխատանքների ժամանակ սևագրի վրա գրատախտակից արտագրում էր ինձ համար իմ տարբերակի առաջադրանքները, որ հասցնեի մինչև դասի ավարտը բոլորը գրել՝ երբեմն չհասցնելով իրենը»։
 
Սյուզաննայի՝ մշտապես կրկնվող հարցին, թե ինչ է ուզում դառնալ Տիգրանը, միշտ հաստատակամ պատասխանել է՝ վիրաբույժ․ «Ասում էր, որ կյանքեր փրկեմ... Այդպես կյանքեր փրկելով էլ՝ անմահացավ հենց ինքը»։
