Վրաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Դավիթ Զալկալիանին մեկնաբանել է Կովկասյան հարթակի վերաբերյալ նախագահ Սալոմե Զուրաբիշվիլիի հայտարարությունը:

«Ես մի քանի օր առաջ պարզաբանել եմ, թե ինչ նկատի ուներ նախագահը, երբ բարձրաձայնեց այս նախաձեռնությունը: Նախագահը չի ենթադրել այլ նախաձեռնություններին միանալը, որոնք հայտարարվել էին այլ գործընկեր երկրների կողմից»,- ինչպես փոխանցում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, վկայակոչելով վրացական լրատվամիջոցները, ասել է Զալկալիանին՝ ավելացնելով, որ նշված նախաձեռնությունը բազմիցս հնչեցվել է վրացական կողմից:

«Նախքան գործընկեր անդամ պետությունների կողմից իրենց նախաձեռնությունը բարձրաձայնելը, Վրաստանի նախագահը, վարչապետը և ես բազմիցս հանդես ենք եկել, այդ թվում ՝ անվտանգության խորհրդի վերջին նիստից հետո, և առաջարկել Թբիլիսիին, մեր հարևաններին, որպես խաղաղ բանակցությունների հարթակ, դա այն առաջարկն է, որի մասին խոսել է նախագահը, և նա նկատի չի ունեցել միանալ այլ հարթակներին: Հետևաբար, դա այլ կերպ է մեկնաբանվել», – հայտարարել է Զալկալիանին:

Վրաստանի նախագահ Սալոմե Զուրաբիշվիլին, «Դեսպանների համաժողով 2020»-ին հայտարարել է, որ ողջունում է տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության վերականգնմանը:

«Ես ուզում եմ մեկ անգամ ևս ողջունել այն, ինչը ես նախկինում ողջունել եմ, այսինքն ՝ խաղաղության վերականգնումը, որը կենսական նշանակություն ունի մեզ համար, և ոչ միայն մեր հարևանների, այլ բոլորիս համար: Դրանից է կախված ամբողջ տարածաշրջանի բարեկեցությունն ու զարգացումը: Միևնույն ժամանակ, մենք գիտենք, որ այս նպատակին հասնելու գործում ներգրավված էին բոլորը, բոլոր միջնորդները, բոլորը `բացի մեզանից: Սա շատ տխուր է: Վրաստանի պատմական դերը Կովկասում դարեր շարունակ եղել է և կա բոլորին միավորելու հնարավորություն: Այդ պատճառով ես խորապես համոզված եմ, որ Վրաստանը ոչ պասիվ կլինի, ոչ էլ երկրորդական կովկասյան հարթակի նախաձեռնությունից», – հայտարարել է Զուրաբիշվիլին:
