«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. «Այս օրերին հաճախ է խոսվում Երեւանի քաղաքապետ Հայկ Մարությանի եւ Փաշինյանի լարված հարաբերությունների մասին, որ նրանք չեն շփվում, նաեւ դա է պատճառր, որ Հայկ Մարությանը տարին կլոր արձակուրդում է, չի ցանկանում աշխատանքի գնալ: Երկու օր առաջ, սակայն, Մարությանը հայտնվել է քաղաքապետարանում՝ վերադառնալով հերթական արձակուրդից, եւ անգամ գործակարգավարականի նիստ է անցկացրել: Երեւանի ավագանու «Լույս» խմբակցության ղեկավար Դավիթ Խաժակյանը գրել էր, թե դիսպետչերականի ժամանակ Մարությանն իր եւ Փաշինյանի լարված հարաբերությունների թեմայով այսպիսի արտահայտություն է թույլ տվել, որ «այդ խոսացողներին պետք է գցենք գազանանոցում՝ էշերի վանդակը»:

Ավագանու «Լույս» խմբակ­ցության անդամ Թեհմինա Վարդանյանը երեկ «Հրապարակի» տաղավարում, անդրադառնալով այս թեմային, նախ ասաց, որ այդ խոսակցությունները շատ վաղուց են պտտվում, եւ տարբեր միջավայրերում Մարությանը բա­վականին կոշտ է արտահայտվում Փաշինյանի հասցեին, բացի այդ, լարված են նաեւ Մարությանի ու ավագանու «Իմ քայլը» խմբակ­ցության անդամների հարաբերություները, եւ երբ ռազմական դրությունն ավարտվի, հնարավոր է՝ խմբակցությունը նաեւ անվստա­հություն հայտնի Մարությանին եւ նրան փոխարինի Արմեն Կոտոլյա­նով:

Եվ այն, ինչ այսօր կատարվում է Երեւանի ավագանու իշխանական խմբակցությունում Մարությանի դեմ, ըստ Վարդանյանի,  հենց Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի անձնական նախաձեռնությամբ ու հրահրմամբ է: Թեհմինա Վարդանյանը մեկ այլ տեղեկություն էլ հայտնեց, որը մեզ համար նորություն էր: Խոսքը վերա­բերում է բաղաքապետարանի կող­մից ռուսական «Գազել» մակնիշի քաղաքային միկրոավտոբուսների գնման գործարքին:

«Կա խոսակցություն, մաս­նավորապես, վերջին գնման հետ կապված, որ այդ հարյուր՝ իրենց մեկնաբանմամբ, միկրոավտոբուսները, որ, իրականում, բառի բուն իմաստով «գազելներ» են՝ թե՛ նստատեղերի քանակով, թե՛ մակնիշով, այդ «գա­զելների» գնման մեջ առերեւույթ կա լրջագույն հանցագործություն, եւ պտտվում է խոսակցություն, որ շուրջ 50 տոկոս ատկատ կա, որից եւ օգտվել է Մարությանը»,- ասաց Թեհմինա Վարդանյանը:

Նույն խոսակցությունը, հի­շեցնենք, կար նաեւ հայտնի «Կամազ»-ների գնման հետ կապված, որտեղ, սակայն, իրավապահ մարմինները չցանկացան կոռուպցիոն դրսեւորումներ հայտնաբե­րել: Թեհմինա Վարդանյանի կարծի­քով՝ այն ժամանակ Մարությանի եւ Փաշինյանի հարաբերությունները լարված չէին, եւ գործ չհարուցվեց, իսկ հիմա Փաշինյանը, իմանալով «Գագել»-ների գործարքի մասին, ասում են՝ զայրացել է:

«Նույնիսկ արդեն քրեական գործ է նախապատրաստվում, որ Մարությանի չհեռանալու դեպքում այդ քրեական գործով վախեցնեն»,- ասաց ավագանու ընդդիմադիր խմբակցության անդամը»:
