Եթե Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը ընդուներ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի առաջարկն ու հոկտեմբերի 19-ին կանգնեցներ պատերազմը, ինչին, ի դեպ, համաձայնել էր Ալիեւը, ապա Շուշին կմնար հայկական վերահսկողության տակ, զոհերի թիվը չէր լինի այսքան աղետալի, որովհետեւ ըստ պաշտոնական թվերի, հոկտեմբերի 19-ի դրությամբ մենք ունեինք 729 զոհ, Արցախի տարածքի զգալի մասը չէինք կորցնի, որովհետեւ հոկտեմբերի 19-ի դրությամբ թուրքը գրավել էր Արցախի հարավից դեռ որոշակի հատվածներ միայն: Այս մասին իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել  է ԲՀԿ-ական պատգամավոր  Նաիրա Զոհրաբյանը:

Եթե Նիկոլը ընդուներ Պուտինի առաջարկն ու պատերազմը կանգներ՝ հազարավոր պայծառ տղաներ այսօր ողջ կլինեին։

Իսկ Շուշի ադրբեջանցի փախստականների հնարավոր վերադարձը, որով Նիկոլը հիմա փորձում է արդարացնել Շուշիի հանձնումը, ընդամենը գավառական բլեֆ է։

Եթե Շուշին մնար մերը, ապա որեւէ անվտանգության երաշխիքի դեպքում մեկ ադրբեջանցի անգամ Շուշի չէր վերադառնա։

Դա նույնն է, որ հիմա Ալիեւը հայտարարի, թե տալիս է անվտանգության երաշխիքներ եւ Շուշիի հայ բնակչությունը կարող է վերադառնալ թուրքի վերահսկողության տակ գտնվող քաղաք։

Մեկ հայ անգամ չի վերադառնա։

Ու դա փաստ է։

Փաստ է նաեւ, որ հոկտեմբերի 19-ին պատերազմը կարող էր կանգնել եւ մեկ մարդ դա թույլ չտվեց։

Ու այդ մեկ մարդու անունը Նիկոլ է։

Ի դեպ, օրերս Շուշիի քաղաքապետը հայտարարեց, որ 2008 թվականից Շուշիի բնակֆոնդը սպառված է եղել և որևէ ադրբեջանցի, անգամ տեխնիկապես, չէր կարող վերադառնալ Շուշի:

Բայց եթե անգամ տեսականորեն ընդունենք այն ցնդաբանությունը, որ հենց հաջորդ օրը բոլոր ադրբեջանցիները հավաքելու էին իրենց ճամպրուկները ու գալու էին Շուշի ապրելու, այո՛, անգամ այդ տարբերակով պիտի հոկտեմբերի 19-ին պատերազմը կանգնեցվեր, որովհետև այդ դեպքում մենք կունենայինք մի քանի հազար անգամ քիչ զոհ, այդ դեպքում մենք կունենայինք Արցախից ընդամենը շատ փոքր հարավային մասում կորուստ և այդ դեպքում Շուշին կլիներ հայկական վերահսկողության տակ։ Սակայն, դա անհնար սցենար էր. որևէ ադրբեջանցի Շուշի չէր վերադառնալու եւ վերջ»։
