Արգենտինացի ֆուտբոլիստ Լիոնել Մեսսիի թիմակիցները հերքում են, որ «Բարսելոնայի» հետ իր պայմանագիրը, որի մանրամասները մամուլին հայտնի են դարձել, կործանարար է ակումբի համար: Նախկինում El Mundo-ն հրապարակել էր Մեսսիի 4-ամյա պայմանագրի պատճենը, ըստ որի՝ ընդհանուր առմամբ ակումբը պարտավորվում էր Մեսսիին վճարել ավելի քան 555 միլիոն եվրո: Հրապարակումը վերնագրված էր. «Մեսսիի հսկայական պայմանագիրը, որը կործանում է «Բարսան»»: «Մեզ չի հետաքրքրում, որ Լեոյին վճարվելիք գումարի չափը հայտնի է դարձել: Ամբողջ աշխարհը գիտի, որ նա դրան արժանի է: Ավելին, նա ինքն է ստեղծում այդ գումարը», - Pais թերթին հայտնել է «Բարսելոնայի» ֆուտբոլիստներից մեկը:
Diagonal Inversiones- ի ֆինանսիստ և հիմնադիր Մարկ Սիրիանը հաստատել է այն «հիմնարար դերը», որը Մեսսին խաղում է «Բարսելոնայի» եկամուտների ձեռքբերման գործում:
«Եթե մենք հաշվարկենք, թե որքան գումար է նա ստեղծում ակումբի համար, ապա այդ ցուցանիշը կկազմի տարեկան 250-300 միլիոն եվրո: Եթե նրա տարեկան աշխատավարձը 140 միլիոն է, ապա «Բարսան» ունի առնվազն 100 միլիոն օգուտ», - ասել է նա: Ակումբի հետ Մեսսիի գործող պայմանագիրն ավարտվում է 2021 թվականի ամռանը: Ավելի վաղ արգենտինացին հայտարարել էր թիմը լքելու ցանկության մասին, բայց ասել էր, որ կմնա մինչև պայմանագրի ավարտը:
