Առնվազն յոթ մարդ է ձերբակալվել Իսպանիայի Բարսելոն քաղաքում, որտեղ վեցերորդ օրն անընդմեջ տեղի են ունենում ձախ արմատականների կողմից կազմակերպված անկարգություններ, որոնք կապված են ռեփեր Պաբլո Ասելի ձերբակալության հետ: Փետրվարի 21-ին ակցիան Բարսելոնում սկսվել է «Սանտս» կայարանի մոտ: Բողոքողները ուղեւորվել են կենտրոն, բայց ոստիկանությունը նրանց խոչընդոտել է մոտենալ Իսպանիայի հրապարակին:

Կարգի պահապանները կիրառել են մահակներ եւ ռետինե փամփուշտներ: Բողոքներն Իսպանիայում սկսվել են փետրվարի 16-ին ռեփեր Պաբլո Ասելին ձերբակալելուց հետո, որին ինն ամսվա բանտարկության էին դատապարտել երգերում եւ սոցիալական ցանցերում միապետությանը վիրավորելու եւ արգելված ահաբեկչական կազմակերպությունները փառաբանելու համար: Բազմաթիվ քաղաքներում ակցիաները վերաճում են անկարգությունների եւ ոստիկանների հետ բախումների: Մշակույթի հարյուրավոր գործիչներ, այդ թվում ռեժիսոր Պեդրո Ալմոդովարը եւ դերասան Խավիեր Բարդեմը, հռչակագիր են ստորագրել հաջակցություն նրա: Իսպանիայի կառավարությունն անցյալ շաբաթ հայտարարել է ազատ խոսքի հետ կապված հանցագործության համար պատիժը վերանայելու պլանների մասին, որպեսզի այն կիրառվի միայն այն անձանց նկատմամբ, որոնք բռնարարքներ են կատարել կամ որոնց գործողություններն սպառնալիք են ներկայացնում հասարակական կարգի համար, հաղորդել է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
