ԱԺ «Իմ քայլը» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Ռուբեն Ռուբինյանն անտրամաբանական է համարում «Լուսավոր Հայաստան» խմբակցության ղեկավար Էդմոն Մարուքյանի ներկայացրած այն առաջարկը, որ, եթե Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը պաշտոնից չազատի Զինված ուժերի Գլխավոր շտաբի պետ Օնիկ Գասպարյանին և պաշտոնում վերականգնի ԳՇ պետի առաջին տեղակալ Տիրան Խաչատրյանին, ԼՀԿ-ն իշխանության հետ հուշագիր կստորագրի արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների վերաբերյալ:

«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ այս մասին Ռուբինյանն ասաց խորհրդարանում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում:

«Դա տրամաբանական առաջարկ չէ մի շատ պարզ պատճառով. փաստացի այդ առաջարկով Էդմոն Մարուքյանը նորմալ է համարում, որ ԳՇ պետը կամ նրա տեղակալը պետք է դառնան քաղաքական գործոն, և նրանց նշանակումը կամ ազատումը պետք է դառնա քաղաքական պայմանավորվածության մաս: Այդպես չի կարող լինել, և դա, բնականաբար, չի կարող նախապայման լինել արտահերթ ընտրությունների համար, բայց տրամաբանական կլիներ, որ առանց որևէ պայմանի Էդմոն Մարուքյանը հայտարարեր, որ իրենք պատրաստ են ստորագրել հուշագիր արտահերթ ընտրությունների վերաբերյալ»,- ասաց Ռուբեն Ռուբինյանը:

Փետրվարի 24-ին, հիմք ընդունելով ՀՀ վարչապետի առաջարկությունը, ՀՀ նախագահը հրամանագիր է ստորագրել Զինված ուժերի Գլխավոր շտաբի պետի առաջին տեղակալ Տիրան Խաչատրյանին պաշտոնից ազատելու մասին: Վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը Գլխավոր շտաբի պետ Օնիկ Գասպարյանին ևս պաշտոնից ազատելու առաջարկ է ներկայացրել:
