Վերջին շրջանում հաճախակիացել են գործող իշխանության ներկայացուցիչների կողմից լրագրողներին թիրախավորելու դեպքերը։

Ոչ յուրային մամուլի նկատմամբ մշտապես իր հակաէթիկական վերաբերմունքով աչքի ընկնող ԱԺ Պաշտպանության և անվտանգության հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Անդրանիկ Քոչարյանն անցած շաբաթների ընթացքում մի քանի անգամ վիրավորել է իրենց մասնագիտական պարտականությունները կատարող լրագրողներին, որոնցից մեկը՝ «ArmNews» հեռուստաընկերության լրագրող Անի Գևորգյանը, դիմել է ԱԺ նախագահ Արարատ Միրզոյանին՝ Անդրանիկ Քոչարյանի դրսևորած վարքագիծը քննարկման առարկա դարձնելու համար:

Վարչապետի մամուլի խոսնակ Մանե Գևորգյանը, խախտելով մասնագիտական ու պաշտոնեական վարքուկանոնի բոլոր նորմերը, հրաժարվել է այլևս պատասխանել  «Հրապարակ» օրաթերթի լրագրող Կորյուն Սիմոնյանի հարցերին։

Մամուլի դեմ կատարված  ամենաաղաղակող դեպքը, սակայն, ԲՏԱ նախարար Հակոբ Արշակյանի հարձակումն է լրագրող Փայլակ Ֆահրադյանի դեմ։ Տեղի ունեցածից հետո նախարարը ներողություն է խնդրել բոլորից, բացի իր թիրախում հայտնված լրագրողից, ինչը էլ ավելի է ընդգծում իշխանության ներկայացուցչի արարքի ցինիզմը, այն դեպքում, երբ ցանկացած իրավական երկրում տվյալ պաշտոնյան ոչ միայն արդեն իսկ հրաժարական ներկայացրած կլիներ, այլ նրա արարքին կտրվեր քրեաիրավական գնահատական։
Հայաստանի ժուռնալիստների միությունը, խստորեն դատապարտելով զանգվածային լրատվության միջոցների դեմ կատարվող բռնի գործողությունները, արձանագրում է, որ դրանք ստացել են համակարգային բնույթ՝ տպավորություն թողնելով, որ իշխանությունը նպատակաուղղված արշավ է սկսել մամուլի դեմ։ Իշխանություններից պահանջում ենք պատշաճ քննության ենթարկել վերը նշված և լրագրողների դեմ ուղղված բազմաթիվ այլ միջադեպերը՝ կատարելով օրենքի պահանջներից բխող համարժեք գործողություններ, որոնք կդրսևորվեն ոչ միայն քաղաքական ու բարոյական, այլ նաև իրավական պատասխանատվությամբ։
Խոսքի ազատությունը բացարձակ արժեք է, ժողովրդավարական պետության ու հասարակության առանցքային հիմնասյուներից մեկը, և մամուլի դեմ ուղղված ցանկացած գործողություն հարված է հասցնում ժողովրդավարական կարևորագույն այդ ինստիտուտին։
Մամուլի ազատությունը բազմապատիկ կարևորվում է ընտրական գործընթացներում, որոնք առաջիկայում սկսվելու են Հայաստանում։ Իշխանություններին, իրավապահ մարմիններին, իրավապաշտպաններին կոչ ենք անում խստորեն հետևել խոսքի ազատության և լրագրողների մասնագիտական գործունեության պատշաճ պայմանների ապահովմանը՝ բացառելով մամուլի դեմ օրենքից չբխող որևէ գործողություն։
