«Այսօր Կոմանդոսին վերջին հրաժեշտը տվեցինք… Քիչ առաջ հոգեհացին նստած տղերքից մեկը՝ մեր Հրաչը, ասաց, որ կարծես ամենքս ինչ-որ չափով հայր կորցրած լինենք։ Կամ այլ կերպ ասաց, բայց միտքն այդ էր։ Անձամբ ինձ համար զգացողությունն հենց այդպիսինն էր։ Հայրս չէր, բայց իմ հոր մի մասն էր։ Նրա ամենամտերիմ ընկերներից մեկը։

Երեկ Կոմանդոսի որդին՝ Հայկը, ինձ ասաց, որ երկրնքում նրանք կհանդիպեն։ Իրար հետ կլինեն։ Երկու տարի առաջ էլ Ֆելիքս Գզողյանն է մահացել՝ մեր փառապանծ գեներալ։ Նրան հրաժեշտ տալուց մտքում այդ էր՝ նրանք արդեն ուրիշ տեղ են հավաքվում։ Հավերժության մեջ։

...Զգացմունքներս այսօր շատ հակասական էին։ Չգիտեմ, թե ինչ սրտով հրաժեշտ տվեցինք Արկադի Իվանովիչին։ Կարծես, ամեն ինչ պատշաճ կազմակերպված էր։ Բոլորը կային՝ նախկին ու ներկա ղեկավարներ, շատ աստղերով գեներալներ (նրանցից մեկն իրեն անգամ զորահանդեսի հրամանատար եր զգում՝ սկզբում Wikipedia-ից ընթերցեց հերոսի կենսագրությունը, հետո էլ խորխտ ձայնով հիմարություններ էր խոսում), ամեն տեղ լուսանկարվող՝ մեղմ ասած տարօրինակ դեմքեր և այլն, և այլն։ Կոմանդոսի իսկական ընկերներն ու նրա ներդրման իրական նվիրյալներն էլ էին, իհարկե, եկել։ Բայց նրանք մի տեսակ կողքի էին կանգնած։ Մի տեսակ մոլորված էին, նույնիսկ կասեի՝ օտարացած։ Սիրտ չունեին։ Կարծում եմ՝ ամաչում էին։ Ես որ հաստատ։ Ու, եթե անկեղծ, ոչինչ չունեի փոխանցեկու հավերժության մեջ գտնվող իմ հորը, նրա ու իմ ընկերներին։ Ի՞նչ պիտի ասեի։ Ես անգամ նրանց գերեզման չեմ կարողանում գնալ։

Հույսս մեկն է։ Այսօր մեր Տեր Հիսուս Քրիստոսի հրաշափառ Հարության տոնն է։ Կյանքը շարունակվում է։ Պիտի ապրենք։ Ու այնպես, որ Կոմանդոսին այս օրերին հազարավոր մարդկանց կողմից տրված խոստումը՝ Շուշին կրկին ազատագրելը, լոկ խոսք չմնա։ Մենք պարտք ունենք տալու՝ հիմա արդեն ոչ միայն մեր զավակներին, այլև ծնողներին։ Ու թող արդարների հիշատակը օրհնությամբ լինի։
