Թե բանակն ինչ ֆորմատով կլինի, ինչ կարգավորումներ կլինի, կտեսնենք. վստահ կարող եմ ասել մի բան, որ բանակի մեջքը պետք է շատ արագ ուղղվի, մենք պետք է ունենանք տարածաշրջանում ամենամարտունակ բանակը, եւ մեր նշաձողը այլեւս Ադրբեջանը չպետք է լինի, այլ տարածաշրջանային այլ երկրներ, նաեւ Թուրքիան: Այս մասին, այսօր՝ ապրիլի 19-ին, ԱԺ-ում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց ԱԺ «Իմ քայլը» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Արմեն Խաչատրյանը:

Անդրադառնալով Թուրքիայի հետ բարեկամության թեմային, նա նկատեց, որ որեւէ մեկը չի խոսել Թուրքիայի հետ բարեկամության մասին. «Կեղծ օրակարգը՝ Թուրքիան բարեկամ է, թե թշնամի, եկեք թողնենք մի կողմ: Բոլորս էլ գիտենք, որ Թուրքիան ոչ բարյացկամ վերաբերմունք ունի Հայաստանի եւ հայ ժողովրդի նկատմամբ: Այո, մենք դարերով թշնամական հարաբերություններ ունենք Թուրքիայի հետ, սակայն ինչ պետք է անել թշնամու հետ:  Թշնամուն պետք է կամ դարձնես կառավարելի, կամ ոչնչացնես: Թշնամուն պետք է հաղթես տարբեր բնագավառներում՝ եւ՛ տնտեսական, եւ՛ ռազմական: Այս պատերազմի ընթացքում մենք հնարավորինս ոչնչացրել ենք թշնամուն, նրանք շատ մեծ կորուստներ են ունեցել եւ թեեւ ուժերը եղել են ակնհայտ անհամաչափ, սակայն թշնամին զգալի եւ էական կորուստներ են ունեցել, որոնք թաքցնում են»,-ասաց Արմեն Խաչատրյանը:

Նա ընդգծեց, որ Հայաստանի բանակը պետք է լինի առավելագույնս պրոֆեսիոնալ եւ միանշանակ է, որ պետք է վերանայվեն զինծառայության նորմերը եւ զինծառայության սկզբունքները. «Քանի որ մենք չենք կարող թույլ տալ, որպեսզի մեր բանակը պարապուրդ լինի, մեր զինվորը ծառայության ժամանակ պետք է ազատ ժամանակ չունենա եւ ամբողջ ծառայությունը անցկացնի ուսուցման մեջ»:
