Հայաստանի բռնցքամարտի ֆեդերացիայի արդեն նախկին նախագահ Արթուր Գևորգյանըհաջողություն է մաղթել նորընտիր նախագահ Հովհաննես Հովսեփյանին:

«Չնայած ՀԲՖ նախագահի ընտրությունների հետաձգման եւ օրինական անցկացման վերաբերյալ մեր բազմաթիվ հորդորներին`  ընտրությունն, այնուամենայնիվ, կայացավ։ Ֆեդերացիայի նախկին նախագահ Արթուր Գեւորգյանն ու ամբողջ անձնակազմը շնորհավորում եւ հաջողություն են մաղթում Հայաստանի բռնցքամարտի ֆեդերացիային եւ հայկական բռնցքամարտի աշխարհի ներկայացուցիչներին։ Ինչպես ղեկավարման տարիներին, այդպես էլ ապագայում Արթուր Գեւորգյանն ու նախկին ղեկավար կազմը կանգնած են լինելու հայկական բռնցքամարտի կողքին»,- այս մասին ասված է տարածված հայտարարությունում։ 

Մոտ երկու տարի Հայաստանումգործում էր բռնցքամարտի երկու ֆեդերացիա` Հայաստանի բռնցքամարտի ֆեդերացիան և Հայկական ազգային ֆեդերացիան: Հավաքական թիմը բաժանված էր երկու մասի, և մարզիկները նույնիսկ չէին մարզվում միասին:

Ապրիլի 29-ին ՀՀ ԿԳՄՍ նախարարության դահլիճում կայացած համաժողովում Հայաստանի բռնցքամարտի ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ ընտրվեց Հովհաննես Հովսեփյանը: Համաժողովին ներկա էր Բռնցքամարտի միջազգային ֆեդերացիայի ներկայացուցիչ Յուրի Զայցևը:

Մինչ քվեարկության մեկնարկը 4 թեկնածուներից 2-ը հանեցին իրենց թեկնածությունը: Պայքարը ծավալվեց սպորտի վաստակավոր վարպետ Իսրայել Հակոբկոխյանի և Բռնցքամարտի հայկական ազգային ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ Հովհաննես Հովսեփյանի միջև: Ընտրությանը նախորդեց թեկնածուների կողմից իրենց ծրագրերը ներկայացնելու գործընթացը: Հովհաննես Հովսեփյանը, ներկայացնելով բռնցքամարտի զարգացման իր ծրագիրը, շեշտեց, որ հայկական բռնցքամարտը պետք է բարձրանա նոր համաշխարհային մակարդակի: Հակոբկոխյանն էլ նշեց, որ իր առաջին գործը լինելու է այն, որ մարզիկները ստանան փորձ կուտակելու հնարավորություններ:

Բռնցքամարտի ֆեդերացիայի նախագահի ընտրությանը գրանցված 95 մասնակիցներից քվեարկեցին 92-ը: Քվեների 67/10 հարաբերակցությամբ ՀՀ բռնցքամարտի ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ ընտրվեց Հովհաննես Հովսեփյանը: 15 քվեաթերթիկ անվավեր ճանաչվեց:
