Հուլիսի 14-ին, ժամը 6-ին, ոստիկանություն զանգած քաղաքացին հայտնեց, որ Հյուսիսային պողոտայում դանակահարություն է եղել։
Օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոնից ահազանգը փոխանցվեց ոստիկանության Կենտրոնական բաժին և մոտակայքում ծառայություն իրականացնող պարեկներին։ Ձեռնարկված անհետաձգելի միջոցառումների արդյունքում Սայաթ-Նովայի և Տերյան փողոցների խաչմերուկում հայտնաբերվեց կասկածելի «Տոյոտա» մակնիշի մեքենան: 39-ամյա վարորդը, դանակահարության կասկածանքով, բերման ենթարկվեց ոստիկանություն։ Նա արդեն բաժնում էր, երբ հիվանդանոցից ահազանգ ստացվեց, որ կտրած-ծակած վերքերով բուժօգնության է տեղափոխվել մի տղամարդ, որն ի վիճակի չէր բացատրություն տալու։
Փաստի առթիվ հարուցվել է քրեական գործ։
Բերման ենթարկված տղամարդը ձերբակալվել է։
