«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. Մեղրիում առավելագույն ձայներ ստացած թեկնածու Բագրատ Զաքարյանը, որ Արամ Սարգսյանի գլխավորած «Հանրապետություն» կուսակցությունն է ներկայացնում, նախկինում «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» կուսակցության հետ է համագործակցել:

«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթին հայտնի դարձավ, որ ընտրությունների ժամանակ նա անգամ ՔՊ շտաբի պետ է եղել, սակայն ինչ-ինչ պատճառներով իշխանության ու Զաքարյանի ջրերը մի առվով չեն հոսել, եւ նա միացել է Արամ Սարգսյանին: Մեզ հայտնի դարձավ, որ Զաքարյանը Վազգեն Սարգսյանի անվան ռազմական ինստիտուտն է ավարտել, աշխատել ԱԻՆ-ում ու մաքսային համակարգում: Եվ ինչպես բոլոր կայացած անձանց դեպքում, իշխող ՔՊ-ն նրան նույնպես որոշ ժամանակ անց չի հանդուրժել:

«Քաղաքացիական պայմանագրի» հետ համագործակցելու փաստը Զաքարյանը չբացառեց մեզ հետ զրույցում: «Այս պահին քաղաքական հարցերի չեմ պատասխանում»,- նշեց նա՝ այդպես էլ չհերքելով, որ իշխանության հետ ինչ-որ ժամանակ հարաբերություններ է ունեցել: ԱԺ «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Հովիկ Աղազարյանը չի բացառում, որ Զաքարյանը նախկինում կարող է համգործակցած լինի իրենց հետ:

«Համենայնդեպս, նրա անունը ծանոթ է,- ասում է ու հավելում։- Քաղաքական գործընթացների ժամանակ երբեմն-երբեմն նեղացվածության դեպքեր լինում են, առաձին անհատներ, գործընկերներ չեն հասկանում միմյանց: Կարող է եւ այդպես է, չեմ կարող ասել, բայց կոնկրետ ես այդքան էլ ընկճված չեմ, որ «Հանրապետություն» կուսակցությունը Մեղրիում հաղթանակ է տոնել»:
