Իմ Կովկասը խիզախ ժողովուրդն է, տղամարդիկ և կանայք, որոնք դաստիարակվել են հնաոճ խստությամբ և արժանապատվությամբ: Նրանք հարգում են մեծերին, ոտքի են կանգնում, երբ տուն հյուր է գալիս, պաշտպանում են կանանց, պաշտում և փայփայում երեխաներին։

Իրական կովկասցիներին հարիր չէ իրենց նույնացնել գայլերի հետ։ Եվ ավելի լավ կլինի նրանց հետ տղամարդու նման խոսել՝ կովկասյան լեզվով, խոսել այնպես, որ չարհամարհեն»,֊գրում է Մարգարիտա Սիմոնյանը՝ հույս հայտնելով, որ հենց այդպես էլ կլինի։
